I know exactly how you feel - I was just getting to know Laura too and her loss hit me harder than I would have expected. But life without the highs hardly seems worth having, and I wouldn't give back a moment with DH or my children to avoid the pain I may one day suffer. I never had the privilege of knowing Laura but have been reading tributes on a lot of blogs. Melanie I know from experience that life throws us unexpected pain. I have a physically disabled 25yr old son but he is one of God's most precious gifts to me and the joy he has given me and my DH over the years has been remarkable.
