All Over Again

Someone’s kid, overheard at Kinder today:

“Finn helps me with stuff, but I don’t play with him”.

๐Ÿ™ It’s so very hard to watch, knowing exactly how that feels. But he is what he is, and he’s Me.

(((Mel))) I can kind of relate, since I was in situations like that in school. Don’t worry…you know you’ve got a great kid and those other kids are missing out by not counting him as a friend!

That would suck muchly. Hugs for you and Finn.

Oh, I know how he feels! And unfortunately my daughter does too. She’d play with him. (((hugs)))

My son is 16 and has struggled to fit in his whole school life. This year he has one good friend and a couple of ok friends. But more importantly, he is blossoming into a moral, compassionate, considerate young man.

It is so hard to watch them struggle. But they come through it with insights they might not have had if things had been easier. I am sure your Finn is a wonderful human being, and will only continue to grow more beautiful as time goes on.

Being a kid is rough. I don’t think I’d every go back to it. Just a tough time all around. Hugs to you and Finn. ๐Ÿ™‚ At least he has his family for a soft place to fall.
