Someone’s kid, overheard at Kinder today:
“Finn helps me with stuff, but I don’t play with him”.
๐ It’s so very hard to watch, knowing exactly how that feels. But he is what he is, and he’s Me.

(((Mel))) I can kind of relate, since I was in situations like that in school. Don’t worry…you know you’ve got a great kid and those other kids are missing out by not counting him as a friend!
That would suck muchly. Hugs for you and Finn.
Oh, I know how he feels! And unfortunately my daughter does too. She’d play with him. (((hugs)))
I too can relate to that. ((((Finn))))
My son is 16 and has struggled to fit in his whole school life. This year he has one good friend and a couple of ok friends. But more importantly, he is blossoming into a moral, compassionate, considerate young man.
It is so hard to watch them struggle. But they come through it with insights they might not have had if things had been easier. I am sure your Finn is a wonderful human being, and will only continue to grow more beautiful as time goes on.
Being a kid is rough. I don’t think I’d every go back to it. Just a tough time all around. Hugs to you and Finn. ๐ At least he has his family for a soft place to fall.
